The Blue Springs Lightning Green 10-and-under softball team captured fourth place in the AFA (American Fastpitch Association) 2007 National Tournament in Lawrence, KS, July 16-21. The fourth-place finish, the highest from the Kansas City metro area, earned the Lightning a team trophy and individual medals. This division featured 21 teams from Missouri, Kansas, Texas, Oklahoma, Nebraska and Colorado.
