These photos were taken at North Rock Creek Korte Elementary School this week. They are pictures of the school's rooms and hallways that show the work that needs to be done, and of the volunteers who have been working at the preparations necessary for the 200 volunteer workers that wll be painting, cleaning and landscaping this weekend during the first ever, "Extreme School Makeover" for the Independence School District. The volunteers pictured here have spent the last several weeks cleaning, sorting, moving, patching, repairing, taping, etc... at this school, to ready it for this weekend's other citizen volunteers to step in and help complete the makeover.

Speaking of volunteers, that's what we need. If you're interested in giving some of your time Saturday, July 26th between the hours of 8:00 am through 5:00 pm, and/or Sunday, July 27th, between the hours of 1:00 pm through 5:00 pm, we need YOU! You do not have to participate both days, or even all of the hours. We need volunteers for a variety of assignments, but mostly for painting!
